Google Pixel 3: Everything you need to know!

Google PixelThe Google Pixel (Google pixel 3) has finally been unveiled. Its gonna be the greatest battle in the market with the top Android models and Google Pixel 3. . The most significant upgrades over the Pixel 2 series are the expected jump to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor and two front-facing cameras on the Pixel 3 XL.

Google Pixel 3 renders in Sand colour option were posted by AndroidHeadlines, and the report notes that the phones will have 3 variants – black, white, sand. The site does not seem to have information about mint green or aqua colour option, official teasers for which were put out by the company in the Recent. There will no mint colour option, at least not at launch.

For the past two years, Google’s used a mixture of aluminium and glass on the back of its phones. This time Pixel 3 shakes things up by adopting an all-glass construction. The Pixel 3 will start at $799 and £739 while the Pixel 3 XL starts at $899 and £869. The Pixel Stand, a wireless charger that works with the phones, will sell for $79 and £69. US residents can order the phones now with shipping starting on Oct. 17. People in the UK can order now with phones arriving Nov. 1.

You’ll find dual front-facing speakers on the Google Pixel 3 which no one is doing this anymore, so it’s good. You’ll also get Active Edge, which allows you to squeeze the sides of the phone to call up Google Assistant. We pretty much prefer this as opposed to a dedicated AI button, like Samsung does with Bixby button.

Google’s made a LOT of camera improvement in google pixel 3:

The camera comes with a feature called Top Shot, which uses AI to pick the best moments to take a picture. Other features include Night Sight, used in low-light settings without a flash, and Super Res Zoom, which improves zooming without losing image quality.

Other changes include:

  • 40% faster HDR+ processing
  • Improved detail retention while zooming
  • Night Sight mode improves low-light shots
  • Top Shot mode captures multiple frames before and after your picture and then recommends an alternative shot compared to what you actually captured

Battery life and specs

The Pixel 3 has a 2,915mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than Samsung Galaxy S9 which has a 3,000mAh  but it’s still an improvement over last year’s 5-inch Pixel, which a 2,700mAh unit.

You’ll still be able to get all-day battery life from this device with normal use, and you will certainly get benefit from fast 18W and new wireless charging.

The Google Pixel 3, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 4GB of RAM is unlikely to be the fastest performer when other phone makers are touting 6GB of RAM and Apple’s A12 chipset beats the Snapdragon 845 handedly.
